JAY & THE AMERICANS
For half a decade, Jay & The Americans
have been one of the rock era's premier vocal groups. From '62-'71, they scored
an unprecedented 12 Top Ten hits and 20 charted songs during that same time
period. Now re-formed with 3 of 4 original members – founding
member Sandy Yaguda (aka Deanne), original members Marty
Kupersmith (aka Sanders) and Howie Kirschenbaum (aka Kane), and new
Jay, Jay Reincke - the band has released two newly-recorded CDs of
re-worked versions of some of their biggest hits as well as new material.
They still tour, celebrating 50 years entertaining the world -- not "only
in America
